Independence

Türkiye Relocation is independent. We are not affiliated with any Turkish government body, law firm, real-estate agency, immigration consultancy or insurance broker. We do not accept paid placements inside our calculator results or guide content.

Where we link to commercial third parties (banks, insurers, eSIM providers, currency-transfer services), those links are either non-affiliate informational links or, where affiliate, are disclosed at the point of the link. We do not let affiliate relationships change which products we recommend.

Sources we anchor to

Every calculator and guide is built from primary sources first, practitioner ranges second, and only as a fallback to third-party aggregators (Numbeo, Expatistan, etc.).

Primary Turkish government sources

• e-ikamet.gov.tr — Directorate General of Migration Management. Residence permit applications, fees, document lists.
• gib.gov.tr — Turkish Revenue Administration. Tax residency rules, foreign income guidance, double-tax-treaty texts.
• mevzuat.gov.tr — Official Turkish legislation portal. Presidential decrees, laws, regulations.
• tkgm.gov.tr — Land Registry (Tapu ve Kadastro). Title deed transfer fee schedule.
• resmigazete.gov.tr — Official Gazette. New legislation and presidential decrees.

Practitioner ranges

For market-rate items where official figures aren't published (legal fees, real-estate agency commissions, private health insurance premiums), we rely on practitioner ranges gathered from multiple independent firms — not from a single broker or law firm. We publish ranges, not point estimates, when the underlying market is genuinely variable.

Update cadence

Calculator assumption files have a LAST_UPDATED constant that is reviewed at minimum quarterly. We bump it whenever the underlying figures change materially. The constant is surfaced in calculator results so you can see the freshness of the numbers you're looking at.

Guides have a publishedDate and modifiedDate in their structured data. The modifiedDate is bumped whenever we make a substantive content change (not just a typo fix).

Fact-checking

New content is reviewed by a different desk than the one that drafted it before publication. For numerically dense pages (calculators, cost guides), a second-pass numerical review checks that every figure traces to a source in the assumption file or a cited document.

What we don't do

• We do not provide tax, legal, immigration, financial or investment advice. Every calculator and guide ships with a disclaimer to this effect.
• We do not publish AI-generated content without human research and editing. Every page on the site has been written or substantively edited by a human contributor.
• We do not auto-publish content without review. There is no content pipeline that pushes pages live without a second pair of eyes.
• We do not accept payment to change calculator outputs or guide recommendations.

Corrections

If you spot an error, please email hello@turkiyerelocation.com. We aim to publish corrections within 72 hours of confirmation. Substantive corrections are flagged inline on the affected page with the correction date.
